June 3, 2009 Special Board Meeting
Minutes of the June 3, 2009 Special Town Board MeetingChairman Sturgeon called the meeting to order at 9:10 AM. Those attending were Chairman Sturgeon, Supervisor Osfar, Supervisor Misiak and Clerk Allis.Supervisor Misiak made a motion to approve the agenda at the discretion of the Chairman. Supervisor Osfar seconded and the motion carried.Discussion held regarding the bridge railings on Town Site Road. Supervisor Osfar obtained prices for the railings. This work is to be done as soon as possible because it is a safety issue. County Materials Corp. of Wausau gave an estimate of $82.50 for 12.5 foot section and $160.00 for 25 foot section. Supervisor Osfar made a motion that if there are emergency issues or safety issues that need to be addressed, it should be addressed immediately and as Chairman Sturgeon indicated, he would let the Board members know what the safety and emergency issues are by telephone or whatever, and that the situation be taken care of by the Chairman. Supervisor Misiak seconded and the motion carried. Chairman Sturgeon received a quote from Bill’s Concrete Construction for the expansion of the semi trailer dock at the Recycling Center to accommodate two semi trailers. The quote for the expansion is $975.00. Supervisor Misiak made a motion to accept the quote of $975.00 from Bill’s Concrete Construction to extend the semi trailer dock at the Recycling Center. Supervisor Osfar seconded and the motion carried.Discussion held regarding the metals container at the Recycling Center. Supervisor Misiak received three quotes from: Northern Waste - $100 to haul, they keep the metal Veolia - $150 to haul, they keep the metal Eagle Waste - $45 per monthSupervisor Misiak made a motion to arrange a contract with Northern Waste for the summer months and see what he could negotiate May until September and our cost $100 per haul and they will keep the metal and we will re-evaluate that the next season. Chairman Sturgeon seconded and the motion carried. Supervisor Osfar made to adjourn. Supervisor Misiak seconded and the motion carried.
