July 31, 2011 AIS Warnings Local Lakes
The Following Bodies of water contain Aquatic Invasive species:
Birch Lake: Rusty Crayfish
Harris Lake: Curly Leaf Pond Weed
Turtle Chain: Rusty Cray Fish
Most Recently Curly Leaf Pond Weed was discovered on the Manitowish Chain between Island Lake and Rice Creek.
If you suspect an AIS sightning, please grab a sample, place in ziplock storage bag, note the location and contact the Town Lakes Committee.
