July 5, 2011 Adoption of Ward Plan TOW

RE: Adoption of Ward Plan for the Town of Winchester

WHEREAS, the Town of Winchester is required by Section 5.15 of the Wisconsin Statutes to establish municipal ward to reflect population changes from the 2010 Census; and

WHEREAS, the Vilas County Board of Supervisors has adopted a Tentative Redistricting Plan and distributed the plan to the town pursuant to Section 59.10 of the Wisconsin Statutes; and

WHEREAS, a copy of the adopted ward plan must be submitted to the Vilas County Clerk within 60 days of receipt of the Vilas County Tentative Redistricting Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Winchester’s population according to the 2010 Census is 521 persons.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Board of Winchester, in session this 5th day of July, 2011, that we adopt the ward to include the census block as detailed in the attachment; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the polling place for the ward in the town is the Winchester Municipal Building located at 10363 County Road W; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the ward boundary is established as follows:

Town of Winchester – Ward 1

The whole of the township.
